Security Posture Assessment (SPA) Requirement Checklist

This document adopts the enterprise-grade Security Posture Assessment (SPA) Requirement Checklist to establish a rigid security validation baseline for our infrastructure. The controls mapped here align with Zero-Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA), the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and international best practices (ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Benchmarks).

1. Executive Security Blueprint Summary

The architecture employs a Zero-Trust perspective to safeguard the core boundaries. Primary data is kept locally to support sovereignty, while cross-border transfers of personal data are governed strictly in compliance with Section 129 of the Malaysian PDPA.

Core Boundaries & Controls

  • Primary Region: AWS ap-southeast-5 (Malaysia) hosting primary datasets.
  • Perimeter Protection: AWS WAFv2 regional Web ACL protecting the Application Load Balancer (ALB).
  • Ingress Restriction: Public ingress is strictly limited to HTTPS (port 443). HTTP (port 80) is strictly restricted to the enforced internal VPC CIDR block of 10.0.0.0/16.
  • Network Segregation: Public subnets (ALB, Bastion), private subnets (compute tier with Nginx + PHP-FPM), and isolated subnets (databases and cache tier).
  • Identity Protection: Strict IAM roles, AWS SSM Session Manager, and enforced IMDSv2 token checks on all EC2 instances.

2. SPA Requirement Checklist

This checklist serves as the official template to audit, verify, and sign off on production readiness.
